Our lorries are maintained to the highest standards, inspected and serviced regularly, to ensure they are always roadworthy.

Omni Recycling is committed to reducing the need for landfill by recycling as much as possible, thereby helping the environment.

As a general rule, you can put pretty much anything into a skip except hazardous items. All these items are fine:

  • Electrical Equipment (apart from computers and televisions)
  • Furniture
  • Green waste
  • Hard Core (e.g bricks and rubble)
  • Metal
  • Packaging (including polystyrene)
  • Paper & Cardboard
  • Plastic
  • Soil (uncontaminated)
  • Wood

If you plan to put the skip on the road or verge outside your house, you will need a permit from your council. We can arrange the skip permit for you if you ask at the time of hire, or assist you with your application. Note: different councils may apply different conditions. Our local council is Tunbridge Wells Borough Council (Kent County Council).

Skips are excellent for getting rid of most non-hazardous waste material, but for legal or practical reasons there are several items that cannot be put in a skip and must be disposed of separately. You cannot put hazardous or harmful items into a skip. These include but are not limited to:

  • TVs, Computer Monitors,
  • Asbestos
  • Tyres
  • Fluorescent Tubes
  • Fridges
  • Paint and Paint Tins (unless empty)
  • Plasterboard
  • Batteries
  • Medical Waste
  • Gas Cylinders
  • Liquids
  • Solvents
  • Oil, Petrol, Diesel and Explosives
  • Dead animals

Please do NOT overfill and never light fires in the skip.
